2026 Gold Humanism Honor Society Inductee
You have been recognized by a vote of your classmates this spring as a student who exemplifies humanism in medicine and compassionate patient care. In recognition of this, you have been duly elected to the GOLD HUMANISM HONOR SOCIETY. This great honor is bestowed on you by the selection of your peers. You are clearly seen as a role model of humanistic care for others by fostering the ideals of this national honor society. Your formal induction ceremony will be held during the spring of next year at which time you will receive your pins and certificates. Membership in GHHS will be queried on your ERAS forms, and this recognition may be used to augment your residency application.
The Arnold P. Gold Foundation is an international not-for-profit organization committed to infusing and sustaining our healthcare system with a culture of compassion, caring, and respect for patients and practitioners. In 2002, the Foundation established the Gold Humanism Honor Society as a signature program to recognize medical students, residents, and faculty who practice patient-centered care by modeling the qualities of integrity, excellence, compassion, altruism, respect, and empathy. Today, there are over 20,000 members in training and practice; students selected for this honor are among the top 15% of their class as voted by their peers.
Each GHHS member should be very proud of this accomplishment. Your commitment to patient and interprofessional humanism inherent in this recognition is essential to the welfare of those who entrust their care to us!
